Judit Varadi - Head Conductor

Let me introduce myself: My name is Judit Varadi and I was born in Szentes (Hungary) in 1981. I grew up in a little village living with my family till I completed school at 18. I then went to the International Peto Institute in Budapest spending the year in a Spina Bifida Group where I also had the opportunity to work with 3-7 year olds with athetosis, tetraparesis spastica. I worked in the Integration Group for Children, School of Parents, Baby Group spending the next year at the Elementary School for 7-12 year olds with tetraparesis spastica, quadriplegia, diplegia, athetosis. I also spent about a half year with adults who had strokes, MS, Parkinson's and Hemiplegia.

I successfully completed my final exams at the Peto Institute in June 2005. Two days later I flew to America and started my first conductive job as a Leader Conductor in Louisiana. I spent the rest of the year with short term jobs such as Summer camp for 5 kids in New Orleans, Autumn camp in Conway (Arkansas), volunteer in a Summer camp in Atlanta and working for a New Orleans family as a private Conductor to their son.

After arriving back in Hungary, I started to work for a company called Moira for the remainder of 2006. This company organizes, leads and runs CE programmes in Hungary and other countries. I went to Spain and Norway and it was a great experience because over this time I worked with about 20 experienced conductors. I worked in France as a private Conductor in July 2006 and Aug 2007 and then in England for another 1 month with the same child.

In the end of 2006 my partner Richard and I moved to Komárom-Hungary and I completed a course with the GEKKO Early Childhood Education Centre working as a Special Teacher from the end of 2006 until July 2007. I worked with 0-14 year old children with developmental delay, learning difficulties such as displexia, disgraphia, poor fine motor skills balance problems and every other development disorder. I planned and lead childrens pre-school sessions before they started their first school year. In July 2007 Richard and I were married and two months later we came to New Zealand and started to work for the Southland Centre for Conductive Education. From April 2008 I am working as the Head conductor leading programmes and writing reports for the kids. We enjoy travelling and tramping around New Zealand and I also like swimming, rowing, driving and reading - my job is also something I really enjoy.

Györgyi Wlassits - Conductor

I was born in Kszeg (Hungary) near the Austrian border. After high school, I graduated from the Peto Institute, Budapest in 2000 and worked for 7 years in Germany. I started working in Hanover with babies, kindergarten and school kids plus summer camp, individual programs for adults, rehab for kids after op's too. From Jan 2003 I worked for a family for 3 months as a private conductor (4 year old boy with quadriplegia). In the summer holidays I worked for 6 weeks in Hanover again.
